PLANNING YOUR MEALS

A rumbling stomach informing you it’s time to eat again is something we’ve all experienced. That’s the instant at which temptation compels you to grab the first available food item, even if it isn’t always the best one for you.

Sound too familiar? Try arranging your food in advance. By preparing your meals at the beginning of the week, or the night before, you take out the guesswork and avoid the panic of straying away from your diet plan.

Cook healthy stuff in bulk. Beneficial food options can be made in large amounts ahead of time and can be scooped into containers for meals down the road. Packaged nutrition is therefore immediately available to take to work, school, or out on the town at a moment’s notice.

Cut vegetables at the beginning of the week so they are always ready to toss in the sauté pan. Serve as after-school snacks, eat with hummus between meals, or just enjoy them for those cravings late at night.
