Justin Taylor and Steve Nguyen are Co-Owners of Firestorm Freerunnning in Santa Ana. Justin grew up in competitive gymnastics, and Steve began martial arts at the age of 8. Both are competitive sports athletes, and have brought that spirit to Firestorm where there are many fitness options, with Parkour being the foundation of their approach.

Firestorm offers Martial Arts Tricking, aka “Tricking”, a martial art that combines Karate, Capoeira, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Gymnastics, Cheer, and Breakdancing.

Tumbling classes that focus on the fundamentals of gymnastics are available. Proper body position and timing develop strength and flexibility, essential elements toward mastering Tumbling. Handstands, handsprings, backflips, and layouts are all covered in this class.

At Firestorm, you can focus on Strength and Conditioning. Compared to most strength building routines that grow repetitive, this class takes a building blocks approach to strength training.
Have you ever tried aerial silks and lyra? Participants must be over the age of 7. It’s sometimes referred to as aerial tissue, contortion, or ribbons exercise. You’ve seen it in Cirque du Soleil as a performance involving aerial acrobatics executed while hanging from a fabric. Performers rely upon body strength, and it’s also great for flexibility.

They have a “Little Hero” class geared toward introducing kids to cross-training during the precious window of opportunity of youth. This creates a substantial foundation for physicality that can last
their whole life long. Firestorm’s mission is to train body mechanics and awareness until it becomes second-nature.

The Trampoline/ Wall Trampoline , also for ages 7 and up, is a ton of fun. Trampoline is the most powerful training tool utilized at Firestorm. It develops body control, as well as spatial and aerial awareness. Trampoline helps students refine body control while suspended in midair.
